Shared Bus Airport Transfers, Tignes

Tignes resort is made up of many small purpose-built villages at varying altitudes with lifts easily accessible from all villages. Tignes-Le-Lac is generally classed as the main village. The full list of villages in order of elevation is: Tignes Les Brevieres, Tignes Les Boisses, Tignes Le Lavachet, Tignes le Lac, Tignes Val Claret.

All of the villages are linked to the same ski area and connected via a free shuttle bus service. The bus service connects 24 bus stops from Les Boisses all the way up to La Grand Motte, with buses running throughout the day and night buses operating until the late hours in winter. Tignes also has direct buses to the nearest large town, Bourg Saint Maurice, as well as with the neighbouring resort of Val d'Isère, which shares the connected ski area of Espace Killy.

The resort logistics make travelling to and around the resort more complicated than in some more centralised resorts, so knowing which village and pick-up/drop-off point you're travelling from is even more important.

For Tignes resort, there are transfers available from Geneva and Lyon Airports and Bourg Saint Maurice Train Station. In resort, there are two drop-off points in La Daille and Val d'Isere Centre. From these stops you should be within easy reach of your accommodation on foot, or via the local bus networks. Taxis are also available for getting around the resort (advance booking recommended).

Bourg Saint Maurice Train Station is located a short distance from Tignes resort and is served by SNCF train lines from Lyon Part Dieu, Paris, but also Amsterdam, Brussels and London!

The journey from Bourg Saint Maurice - Tignes is via a direct shuttle service from Bourg Saint Maurice Bus Station, located next to the Train Station. It runs during the winter and summer seasons and is only a 1h journey.
