Les Lacs du Chardonnet

A short family friendly walk to a beautiful mountain lake

featured in Hiking & walking routes Updated

Leaving the centre of Tignes le Lac you wander through the ski fields before reaching a small alpine lake below the towering peaks above Tignes

Starting from the Millonex lift in Tignes le Lac the route is signposted 'Aiguille Percee - Lacs du Chardonnet'. The route heads west and passes the top of the Chardonnet chairlift after passing the Croix de Palafour. It then turns slightly south and follows the path that leads to the bottom of the Grand Huit chairlift and the lake.

You can return via the same way or descend via the GR5 which can be found on the other side of the lake.

What to bring

The route can found on IGN map 3633ET Tignes/ Val d'Isere and in the 'Les Sentiers de L'Ete' booklet available from the Maison de Tignes tourist office.
