Tignes glacier opens on September 29th 2018

Tignes reopens for skiers in just over three weeks

Keen to carve the first turns of the season? You'll be very happy to hear that the Grande Motte Glacier in Tignes is reopening for skiers on Saturday, the 29th of September 2018.

Six lifts will be open including the Perce Neige funicular, the Grande Motte cable car, the Panoramique and Vanoise chairlifts, and the Champagny, Rosolin and Termignon drag lifts. The Dahu, Rimaye and Face pistes will be available to skiers from September 29th while new pistes will open as autumn progresses, including the Double M piste (Lanches chairlift).

Discounted ski passes will be available until November 23rd 2018, costing only €33 for one day and €198 for 6 days. There will also be special passes for cross-country skiers (€15 per day) and pedestrians (€13 per day). Free access to the Lagon swimming pool will be offered with every ski pass for 2 days and more. You can purchase them at the Grande Motte ski pass office, open every day from 07:45 to 14:30, or the ski area information point, open every day from 08:00 to 15:45.

The link between Tignes and Val d'Isere will open on November 24th 2018 and close on May 1st 2019.
