Transfer Options for Tignes

The price of a one-way transfer from Geneva Airport to Tignes starts at around €50, going up to around €450 for a private transfer.

If you want to pay less for your transfer

Try to: 

• avoid travelling at peak weeks like Christmas, the February half term or the last week in August
• get a flight that lands in the middle of the day - it’ll often be easier for transfer companies to group more people together at that time

Shared transfers
You'll be on a bus with passengers arriving at the airport at a similar time to you.

These tend to be cheaper, although you might have to wait a little while before your bus leaves (typically not more than an hour).

If your transfer is a door-to-door service, you may also have to wait for other passengers to be dropped off in resort. On the plus side, you'll get to discover parts of Tignes you didn't know existed.

Private transfers
You or your group travel alone. 

With this type of transfer, there's no waiting around. You can leave the airport as soon as you've cleared customs. The down side is that this is a much more expensive way to travel, and private transfers are not always available.  

Public bus transfers run from the airports to Tignes in the winter season, especially during weekends.

These transfers won't drop you at your door, but they are great value. 

They stop several times along the way and you may need to make a connection in Bourg Saint Maurice, the nearest transport hub in the area.
