The SNCF has announced a rail strike that will affect travellers to Tignes, the two railway unions involved have chosen a peak travel weekend to strike.

The SNCF Rhône-Alpes rail network has announced that services will be disrupted from Thursday at 17:00 through to Monday at 8:00

Some 50,000 holiday makers are expected to be travelling between ski resorts and their homes this weekend so naturally the strike may have a knock on effect to those travelling by road.
