Skier dies in off piste accident in Tignes
The season worker sadly died after hitting his head on a rock
A 27 year old French season worker sadly died yesterday whilst skiing with a group of friends in an off piste sector a the combe de la Petit Balme.
The man apparently fell on a steep slope and hit his head on a rock. Although he was wearing a helmet he unfortunately died on the spot.
An investigation has been launched by the CRS rescue teams.
Our thoughts are with his family and friends at this tragic time.
