This winter in Tignes, seasonnaires and holiday makers in-the-know have been lucky enough to bear witness to a new epic night out. An alpine music initiative described by its creator as “summer festival vibes in the snowy alpine playground” known by the name of Bass Station.

The brain child of local legend DJ Kommissar, Bass Station has been held monthly in Tignes and Val D’Isere. So far we have seen the scratch champion and professional party rocker, JFB, whip the appreciative crowd into a dance-crazed frenzy in January, followed by UK Hip-Hop legend Mystro in February. Mystro gave the people a taste of the good vibes and sound they so sorely miss in a resort, where the only music you’ll find at 2am is debatable “euro-trash.”

Held here in the seasonnaire’s favourite, Jack’s Club, the past two events have seen the venue at max capacity and have received rave reviews from all in attendance!

Having been held previously between 22.00-04.00 on a Tuesday night, this week sees the event moved to the same time slot, but on Monday 16th March. At the bargain price of €10 per ticket, this night is not one to be missed! This month’s star act is the incredible Featurecast, a DJ who deftly mixes between funk, breakbeats and party-starters. Tickets can be bought online or at The Marmotte Arms in Tignes Le Lac. The Val D’Isere installment will see Featurecast working his magic at the Moris Pub the following day on Tuesday 17th March. Having featured local support acts such as B-Trix Kiddo and DJ Wolverine, the nights are always great from start to finish.
