White water rafting
The Haute-Isère river is the main attraction for rafting around Tignes, offering everything from family-friendly descents to more challenging sections with rapids, gorges and fast-flowing water.
Hydrospeeding
Ride the rapids using a specialist foam float, working with the current as you navigate waves and obstacles.
Canyoning
Combines swimming, scrambling, jumping, sliding and abseiling as you make your way through mountain gorges carved out by flowing water. The nearby Gorges du Pussy Canyon offers a spectacular natural playground.
Canoeing and kayaking
Guided descents provide a fun introduction to navigating white water. Equipped with safety gear and expert instruction, it’s an accessible way to enjoy the river and still get plenty of excitement from the rapids.
Tignes lake
The perfect setting for paddleboarding, pedalos, sailing and other watersports. Surrounded by mountains and sitting at high altitude, the lake offers a scenic place to cool off in summer and enjoy views of the surrounding peaks. In winter, don insulated wet suits and try some hardcore cold-water immersion with an ice dive.
Located around the edge you'll find activities including the famous Blob Jump, where participants are launched into the lake, as well as ramps for sliding and ski or BMX jumps into the water.
