Tignes is a great resort for a long snow-sure season and is made up of four resorts.
There are four distinct resorts to choose from in Tignes.

The largest of these is Tignes Le Lac and this is the main hub of the area. Plenty of hotels and apartments can be found here, as well as a fine choice of bars and restaurants and, of course, great access to the ski lifts.
Tignes Le Lavachet is sometimes referred to as a separate resort but in reality lies on the other side of a piste from Le Lac.
Two kilometres up from here on the other side of the lake is Tignes Val Claret, which is also a lively place in its own right, popular with party animals.
Further back down the valley are Tignes 1800 (Les Boisses) and Tignes Les Brévières. Tignes 1800 has had a big facelift and now offers brand new facilities and accommodations designed with families in mind. Les Brevieres is a more traditional mountain village at 1550m where you can enjoy a more laid-back atmosphere.
Take a look at the piste map to see where the villages are on the mountain.
