Traditional family-run hotel in Tignes le Lac
Ideally located in the heart of the resort, close to the main lift departure points, the swimming pool and some of the most popular bars and restaurants.
This hotel has been run by different generations of the same family for over 50 years. Direct descendants of a local family who lived in the original village that was engulfed by the Lac de Chevil when the famous dam was constructed, you know you will get an authentic "Tignard" welcome when you arrive here.
All of the 31 guest bedrooms are decorated in a style typical of the region, using lots of natural wood and sturdy furnishings. Each room has an ensuite bath/shower room, complimentary toiletries, free wifi, satellite TV, room safe and breakfast is included. Most of them also have a balcony or terrace with lovely views over the lake and the Grande Motte Glacier. The majority of rooms can sleep 2-4 people but there are also some larger duplex suites available that can accommodate up to 6.
There is a homely atmosphere present throughout the hotel with natural wood and stone features creating an authentic alpine ambience. The cosy living room features a large fireplace and various family pictures and memorabilia from across the generations. The resident's lounge bar is great for a vin chaud after a day on the slopes and the hotel also has a lovely wellness area with sauna, hammam and jacuzzi.
Warm and cosy and open daily from 14:00 to midnight.
The restaurant serves traditional and tasty dishes that are typical of the area (raclette, tartiflette, fondue etc) and the dining room itself offers wonderful views of the lake and the Grande Motte glacier. Open daily to residents and non-residents alike, from 19:15 to 20:45.
